This weakening has reduced the trade winds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dominant cause of the warm SSTs\u00a0 is due to weather patterns that reduced surface wind speed, which reduced evaporative cooling, and less cloudiness.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other factors include CO2 emissions, lower amount of sulfate particles from cleaner shipping fuels, Hunga-Tonga eruption, and low levels of African dust.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Since late June, the Azores-Bermuda ridge has begun to restrengthen somewhat and SSTs have fallen, however, they remain warmer than normal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div id=\"attachment_3507\"
