TS Lekima Satellite image
TS Lekima has formed over the western North Pacific and currently is located about 479 NM SSE of Kadena AB in Japan and was moving NNW at 6 knots. Max winds are about 35 knots with a max significant wave height of 19 feet (5.8 meters).
Conditions favor development and Lekima could reach typhoon strength in about 72 hours and is forecast to pass northeast of Taiwan on the 9th.
