North Pacific Storm Update

NOAA OPC Surface Forecast 00 UTC 03 Jan 2016

A rapidly deepening hurricane force storm low over the west-central North Pacific is forecast to produce winds of 55-70 knots with significant wave heights building 10-15 meters (33-50 feet)  within 240-300 NM southwest of the center during the next 24-36 hours. These conditions will cause vessel delays along central North Pacific shipping routes between 35N and 45N latitudes.
